POKOTABI / GozouRoppu
ごぞうろっぷ
GozouRoppu in Omorikita, Ota Ward, serves fresh pork offal platters, grilled liver, simmered dishes, and satisfying finishing bowls of curry.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Grilled pork offal offers a broad range of textures and rich fat across every cut. Located in Omorikita, Ota Ward, GozouRoppu is a yakiniku restaurant known for its remarkably fresh horumon and varied side dishes.
When deciding where to begin on the menu, assortment platters such as the 3-cut platter or the pork 5-cut platter make an ideal starting point. Diners can sample familiar favorites and distinctive cuts alike—including tongue, jowl (kashira), grilled liver, rectum (teppo), small intestine (shiro), and heart (kokoro)—cooking each piece to their preferred doneness. Beef skirt steak (harami) is also available alongside the pork offal, which comes in handy whenever you want to savor deep, meaty umami.
While the grill heats up, the kitchen prepares satisfying starters to set the tone for drinks, including slow-simmered tripe stew, pig's trotters, and raw-style heart (hatsu-sashi). The curry also comes highly recommended, offering an appealing way to round off a yakiniku meal. Even in a half portion, the curry delivers satisfying heft, making it easy to enjoy as a closing dish after plenty of grilled meat.
The restaurant opens in the evening at 17:30 and is closed on Tuesdays. Nibbling on casual snacks like buttered corn while slowly grilling pork offal over a relaxed drink makes for a pleasant night out.
